About me

Hi, I am 8 years old.I live in Australia Victoria. On my blog, I will call myself Rose (even though it is not my real name). I am mostly going to blog about cooking and books. My mum is Kathy from Play Eat Learn Live. She knows I have this blog!

I chose the blog name Magic Ballerina because my favourite books are Magic Ballerina books by Darcey Bussell.

  2. Hi Rose, welcome to blogging!
I used to work at a bookstore before I (lived in England for a while, came back and) became a Mummy, and I love to hear about why people love (and sometimes hate) certain books.
Why are the Magic Ballerina books your favourites?

  5. Hello Rose - I'm looking forward to reading more about your cooking and reading. Is it a good idea to cook and read at the same time??!!

  8. Hi Rose
Thank you for posting some great children's authors because I am looking for a book to get for my cousin who is nearly 8, but she is a very good and confident reader. She reads like a 10-year-old! (Almost!) Anyway, some other suggestions of good children's authors are Daisy Meadows (Rainbow Magic books), Gillian Shields (Mermaid S.O.S. books), Lucy Mayflower (Naughty Fairies books), Holly Webb, Elise Allen (Enid Blyton's Enchanted World), Linda Chapman (My Secret Unicorn books, Sky Horses books), and Kelly McKain (Fairy House books, Totally Lucy books, Mermaid Rock books, Pony Camp Diaries books).
    Thanks :-)
P.S. I thought you said that that was the first thing you ever made by YOURSELF. Your Mum helped you a lot there! Anyway, good on you!
